How Atmospheric Water Generators Work
Atmospheric water generators pull moisture directly from the air around you, transforming humidity into pure, drinkable water through a multi-stage condensation and filtration process. The PureAir30 harnesses this technology to deliver up to 30 liters of clean water per day — no pipes, no plastic, no compromise.
Atmospheric water generation (AWG) is one of the most elegant solutions to the global water crisis: it pulls clean drinking water directly from the humidity in the surrounding air. No wells, no pipes, no plastic bottles — just the moisture that has always been there, waiting to be collected.
How the Condensation Process Works
The PureAir30 draws humid ambient air across a series of cooled condenser coils. When warm, moist air contacts a surface cooled below its dew point, water vapour condenses into liquid droplets — the same physics behind morning dew on a cold glass. In Thailand's climate, where relative humidity averages 73–80% year-round, this process is remarkably efficient, yielding up to 30 litres of raw condensate per day.
But raw condensate is not drinking water. It has been in contact with metal surfaces and absorbs traces of whatever particulates were in the air. That is where the PureAir30's 9-stage filtration system takes over.
The 9 Filtration Stages
Stage 1 — HEPA Air Pre-filter: Before air even touches the condenser, a HEPA-grade filter captures dust, pollen, mould spores, and fine particulates down to 0.3 microns. This is the same standard used in hospital operating rooms.
Stage 2 — Pre-carbon Filter: Activated carbon removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chlorine residues carried in the air, and odours that could otherwise taint the condensed water.
Stage 3 — Sediment Filter: A 5-micron polypropylene filter catches any remaining solid particles — rust, sand, or dust that passed the HEPA stage — before the water reaches the membrane.
Stage 4 — Reverse Osmosis Membrane: The RO membrane is the core of the purification system. It forces water through pores of 0.0001 microns, physically excluding dissolved salts, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury), nitrates, fluoride, and virtually all biological contaminants. Post-RO water typically reads near-zero on a TDS meter.
Stage 5 — Post-carbon Filter: A secondary activated carbon stage removes any trace compounds that escaped the RO membrane and improves taste and clarity.
Stage 6 — UV-C Sterilisation: Water passes through a UV-C chamber where 254 nm ultraviolet light disrupts the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa — eliminating biological threats without chemicals.
Stage 7 — Mineral Enhancement: Pure RO water is slightly acidic and lacks beneficial minerals. This stage passes the water through a mineralisation cartridge that adds calcium, magnesium, and potassium in proportions aligned with WHO drinking water guidelines.
Stage 8 — Alkaline Post-treatment: The final mineral stage raises the water's pH to 7.4–8.0, producing gently alkaline water that many users find preferable in taste and beneficial for daily hydration.
Stage 9 — Final Polishing Filter: A last-pass activated carbon block removes any trace compounds introduced during storage in the internal tank, ensuring the water reaching your glass is fresh and clean at the point of dispensing.
Why Thailand Is Ideal for AWG
AWG efficiency is directly tied to ambient humidity. At 50% relative humidity, a typical AWG produces modestly. At Thailand's 75–80% RH — common across Bangkok, Koh Samui, and Phuket for most of the year — the PureAir30 reaches its rated 30 L/day output consistently. The technology that works in temperate climates becomes genuinely practical here.
The Result: Water You Can Trust
The PureAir30 produces water with near-zero TDS before mineralisation, zero colony-forming units of bacteria post-UV, and mineral content tuned to support healthy hydration. It is certified to NSF/ANSI 42 (aesthetic effects), NSF/ANSI 58 (reverse osmosis systems), WHO drinking water guidelines, and TIS 257 (Thailand Industrial Standard for drinking water equipment).
For Thai households and businesses that have long accepted the inconvenience and expense of bottled water delivery, the PureAir30 offers a fundamentally different answer — one that is cleaner, cheaper per litre, and entirely free of plastic.
